Lungebetennelse hos barn

De fleste tilfeller av lungebetennelse hos barn som oppstår utenfor sykehus, skyldes en virusinfeksjon og starter som en uskyldig forkjølelse.

De fleste tilfeller av lungebetennelse starter som en uskyldig forkjølelse. Dersom det oppstår lungebetennelse, vil barnet bli sykere etter noen dager i stedet for at det friskner til.
