Hvordan påvises epilepsi?

Epilepsi er samlebetegnelsen for en gruppe ulike tilstander som medfører tilbakevendende epileptiske anfall. Anfallene kan gi ulike symptomer, for eksempel ukontrollerte bevegelser, plutselig svekkelse i muskulaturen, episoder med fjernhet og manglende kontakt, taleproblemer, synsforstyrrelser, kramper i hele kroppen og bevisstløshet.

Påvisning av epilepsi: For legen er det viktig å få en god beskrivelse av anfallet. Derfor er det en fordel om noen som var til stede, kan fortelle om det.
